James M. Patrick (JP) is originally from Chicago but has called Tucson home for more than a decade.

Prior to acquiring a taste for photography, JP began his career as a journalist working as a staff writer and editor for several local newspapers. In 2001 he was recognized with the Quill and Scroll Journalism Award.

It was in college that JP began to develop a strong passion for photography. At Pima College he earned an associates degree in Journalism with a focus on media arts where he wrote two screenplays. In 2006 JP graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors in Journalism.

Focusing onto commercial photography, JP began to have his work appear in publications such as Fitness Plus Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, Oro Valley Magazine, Tucson Women's Magazine, The Foothills Magazine and The Tombstone Epitaph.

JP has been recognized by the University of Arizona with two awards in journalism; The Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Journalism and the John P. Clum Award for Outstanding Journalism on the Tombstone Epitaph.

Currently JP works are a freelance commercial photographer and a professional marketer. He is the President of a local chapter of Toastmasters International, a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and is on the Board of Directors of the Southern Arizona Architects and Engineers Marketing Association.
